Parent partnership

We have a strong Parent partnership here at Little Elms. We beleive that having a long lasting and  strong bond with the parents has a positive impact on the children, teachers and the nursery as a whole

  • We have an active PTA to support the nursery through fundraising, events, and community building.
  • We involve parents in planning and organizing activities that enhance the nursery experience for the children.
  • Important notices, updates, events, and information about the nursery are displayed daily on the parents information board.
  • We use the board to share upcoming events and reminders to keep parents informed.
  • We ue Tapestry to keep parents updated on their child’s learning journey with photos, videos, and observations.
  • We encourage parents to interact by adding comments or uploading their own content related to their child's experiences.
  • We schedule regular face-to-face meetings with parents to discuss their child’s progress, development, and any concerns.
  • We offer both formal parent-teacher meetings and informal chats to maintain open communication.
  • Regular emails are sent out to keep parents informed about nursery updates, activities, and important announcements.
  • Newsletters, curriculum information, and any changes in the nursery schedule are sent out regularly.
  • We maintain a regular communication via phone for urgent updates, individual concerns, or quick queries.
  • Nursery phones always on (even outside working hours) to address any immediate needs or clarify information when needed.
  • We have regular coffee mornings every term. Coffee mornings create a relaxed environment for parents to connect with staff and each other, fostering a sense of community. It also encourages open dialogue, allowing parents to share their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions, which can improve the nursery’s responsiveness. These gatherings provide opportunities for parents to become more involved in their child's learning experience, understanding the nursery's goals, and supporting its activities. Coffee mornings are an excellent way to receive real-time feedback from parents, helping the nursery make adjustments and improvements.  These regular meet-ups help to create a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging parents to feel more invested in the nursery's success. It is also an opportunity for new parents to know ane another

  • This partnership aims to ensure transparent, consistent, and collaborative communication between the nursery and parents for the benefit of the children’s development.
